Nuevo Mundo is a family affair with chef Ignacio Ruiz Francés at the helm and his father Pepe assisting in the kitchen, while his siblings María and Josema, along with Javier, manage the dining room. The family connection brings warmth and a personal touch to this cosy restaurant located just behind the Setas in calle Regina. There’s a bright dining area with comfortable seating and large windows that open out onto the pedestrianised street.
Almadraba bluefin tuna features prominently on the menu but there is also a good selection of starters, salads and meat dishes, along with daily specials. We especially enjoyed the tuna with salmorejo and the crispy fried artichoke flower. A good wine list and pleasant service.
